Agile Project Manager

IT Lead Business Analyst

Under general supervision of the Portfolio Product Manager, serve as an IT Technical Business Analyst and Product Owner working on Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) Initiatives. Design, develop, and implement product roadmaps, plans and proposals that address the functional needs of system wide EH&S Technology Initiatives and identify associated priorities, opportunities and risks. Provide extensive functional requirements gathering during the analysis phase of the software development cycle for web based applications. Interact with a wide array of units throughout the UC system, including the Medical Centers. Work closely with faculty researchers and EH&S staff in various roles including Product Champions, stakeholders, and subject matter experts. Solicit, translate and document client needs into specific and detailed software requirements. Work closely with development teams to translate functional requirements to technical user stories, acceptance criteria, process flow diagrams, functional specifications, and other necessary project documentation. Prioritize business requirements based on thorough analysis of data and information gathered; propose methods to maximize efficiencies, both technical and nontechnical. Employ technical capabilities to advance ERM and EH&S program goals and resource needs. Provide support to the Portfolio Manager to maintain project timelines and ensure outstanding service to the clients and Project Sponsors. Work with Product Management to identify and pursue opportunities to create value for users. Develop lean practices with clients and users to streamline their business processes.

Application Developer

Senior Product Developer

Under general supervision of the Portfolio Manager, serve as a Senior Product Developer working on Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) initiatives. As a subject matter expert with expertise in one or more of the fields related to Risk and Safety Solution products, including but not limited to: Chemistry, Biology, Radiation, Laboratory Safety, Hospital Safety; Work closely with customers and business contacts to design, develop, and implement product plans and proposals that address the functional needs of systemwide EH&S Technology Initiatives and identify associated priorities, opportunities and risks. Provide extensive functional requirements gathering during the analysis phase of the software development cycle for web based applications. Interact with a wide array of units throughout the UC system, including the medical centers. Lead Java Applications Developer

Under direction of the Director, provide leadership in the technical development of complex software for an enterprise-wide research administration system. Support multiple departments within Safety Services and the campus administrative and middleware systems. Participate in designing, coding and documenting specifications of applications, and deliver robust solutions to meet the needs of Safety Services and campuswide initiatives. Research hardware specification, software performance, and security options for application needs. Collaboratively work with the application development team through all phases of the software development cycle.

Service Desk Support

Under general supervision of the IT Services Operations and Service Desk Manager, provide first-tier software application technical support for systemwide supported applications, reports and backup to the technical Help Desk. The incumbent will provide additional support to Agile Scrum project teams. Facilitate product owner sessions, coordinate, update, and follow up on project deliverables. Prepare and implement roadmaps and documentation for technology projects. Plan, test, debug, implement, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and document systems, programs and websites in accordance with client and/or department timelines, standards, and guidelines. Report, research, troubleshoot, and resolve problems and support requests for Windows and Macintosh computer systems, web browsers, data network and desktop system configuration and administration, websites and their associated software and hardware.
